Our journey is guided by the 17th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, where Lord Krishna distinguishes the three modes of nutrition. We have anchored our kitchen in the Mode of Goodness (Sattva), ensuring that every meal increases longevity, vitality, and strength.
In the Chandogya Upanishad, it is said that the food we consume is divided into three parts: the grossest becomes waste, the middle becomes flesh, but the subtlest part becomes the Manas. Therefore, for a healthy body & mind, one must first purify the plate.
“Foods in the mode of goodness increase the duration of life, purify one’s existence, and give strength, health, happiness, and satisfaction. Such foods are juicy, succulent, nourishing, and pleasing to the heart and dear to those in the mode of goodness.”
The seed for Vandyam Sattvik was sown by a Srivathsala K who saw the struggle of getting Sattvik food delivered to the doorstep in Bangalore. Amidst the rise of fast-food culture, our founder observed that many were being forced to consume food driven by commercial additives, which were replacing the ‘Ghar ka Khana’ (home food).
With a lifelong devotion to the Gita, the founder established a kitchen where Agni (digestive fire) is respected, and Prana (life force) is preserved.
True nutrition comes from the kitchen, not the shelf. We serve our meals at the peak of their freshness to preserve their natural energy and life force. Experience food that nourishes your body and keeps you feeling light and vibrant.
Our meals are 100% free from onion, garlic, and artificial stimulants. We use high-quality ingredients to keep your body energized all day.
The mindset of the person cooking the food matters. Our culture of cooking is in a peaceful, devoted environment. We cook a meal like prasada.
