Vangi Bath is a delicious and healthy recipe from the Karnataka cuisine. Vangi means Brinjals or Egg plant and Bath means cooking together.

Preparing Vangi bath is easy by using Vandyam Sattvic Vangi bath powder. Riced to be cooked first. Any regular rice like Sonamasuri can be used. Then Brinjals are sautéed in tempering spices and soft cooked. Then seasoned with Vandyam Vangi Bath powder. Lastly it is finished by mixing with precooked rice.

Generally, green Brinjals are used. But purple or purple striped Brinjals can also be used. Make sure that the Brinjals are tender and fresh. 

To make Sattvic Vangi bath, use Mattu Gulla with Vandyam Vangi bath Powder.
